This brilliant car soon gets a little more power, thanks to the engine of the new M850i. According to unnamed sources close to the company quoted on the BMW blog, the Bavarian automaker is preparing to insert modern twin-turbo V8 engines of 4.4 liters from their car coupes in these medium-sized sedan. With the current 456 hp and 650 Nm of torque as the models of the M550i engine make, the new units deliver the maximum output power of 523 horses and 750 Nm of torque. If it turns out that the reports are accurate, this should be a gain of 67 hp and 100 Nm of torque, which will surely bring far greater perfromance in this powerful sedan model. The extra power will shorten the current acceleration to a hundredth of a round four-second position, approaching this model closer to the M5 line and its 592 hp, followed by 750 Nm of torque, which needs 3.4 seconds to acceleration to a hundredth. We will wait for the first test of this model’s drive, which, according to what follows, promises excellent acceleration results. Photo – BMW
