After the recent promotion of the new Mercedes CLA at the CES consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, it is announced that in the beginning of March at the Geneva Fair, the new generation of its slightly more practical version, the CLA Shooting Brake, will be seen.
And the new CLA Shooting Brake will be built on the MFA2 platform, offering more space for rear passengers compared to the current model, thanks to a 30 mm longer wheelbase (2729 mm). The Autobobil will be somewhat longer and wider than its predecessor, with a wider track of wheels that range from 16 to 19 inches.
The most likely look is shown on this unofficial rendering, and attention will again attract a more modern interior, with digital instrument panel and infotainment system MBUX – Mercedes-Benz User Experience. The range will include petrol and diesel engines known from the new A class, among others, a 2.0 liter gasoline engine with 165 kW / 224 hp and 350 Nm.
Depending on the version, both manual and automatic gears will be installed, and all-wheel drive will be available.
In the end, the AMG variants will arrive, which means the CLA 35 with a 2.0 liter turbo and 306 hp / 400 Nm, as well as the CLA 45 with a 2.0-liter turbocharger, probably in versions with 387 hp and 421 hp.
